In line with
the commemoration of the 141st anniversary of the martyrdom of
Fathers Mariano Gomes, Jose Burgos and Jacinto Zamora, the Philippine Historical Association will hold a commemorative lecture on February 17, 2013, at 9:00 at the Conference Hall of the National Historical Commission
of the Philippines, TM Kalaw Street, Manila.
As commemorative event, the lecture is
free of charge and is open to the public. Lectures will be given by:
1. Dr. Luis Dery (De La Salle University) on “GOMBURZA: Mga Bagong Datos”
2. Prof. Michael Charleston Chua (De La Salle University) on “BAYANG PILIPINO, 1807-1861: Katutubo at Banyaga
sa Mundong Ginalawan ng GomBurZa”
Participants will be given certificates
of attendance. Interested individuals
may also process their application for PHA membership. Lifetime membership fee
is Php 2,500.00 and annual membership is Php 350.00.
