PLAZA LIBERTAD: site where the Philippine flag was raised in triumph after Spain surrendered Iloilo, her last capital, to the Filipino revolutionaries on December 25, 1898.

MUELLE LONEY: the River Port of Iloilo which is considered one of the safest harbors because Guimaras protects it from strong winds; opened to international markets in 1855.

MUSEO ILOILO: cultural and historical repository of the people of Panay.

VILLA LIZARES MANSION: former mansion and villa of the Lizares family sold to the Dominican Order of the Philippines.

JARO CATHEDRAL: the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Candles; recognized as a national historical landmark  in 1976.

MOLO CHURCH: a Gothic-Renaissance church built in the 19th century, known to be a feminist church because of the two rows of sixteen female saints; visited by Jose Rizal in 1896 on his way back to Manila from his exile in Dapitan; declared by the National Historical Commission a national landmark in 1992.

TIGBAUAN CHURCH: built in 1578; a fine example of Churrisgueresque Architecture, a type of Baroque architecture commonly found in Spain and Spanish America.

GUIMBAL CHURCH:  an 18th century yellow sandstone church, made from adobe stones called igang and coral stones quarried from Guimaras

MIAG-AO CHURCH: an 18th century Augustinian-built baroque church and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, its fortress-like design suggests its dual purpose as a place of worship and as a fort used in defending the town against Moro raiders.
